Very rude staff. No service-mindedness. I won't set foot there again. The Emporium branch is way much better. Don't waste your money here. Worst spa experience in my whole life @clarinsth, Embassy branch. As a royal fan of Clarins products and spa, this is heart-wrenching. I hope my good old Emporium branch will be back soon (now under renovation). Today I went to my favorite spa for a facial massage because my skin responds well to almost all Clarins products. Usually, the BAs and staff at the Emporium branch are always lovely to me. But since the Emporium spa is closed for renovations, I assumed the Embassy branch would be better and less crowded. Plus, a BA once mentioned that Chompoo (a Thai celebrity) uses this branch. I had an appointment for 2 PM for a 75-minute service, and I arrived more than 10 minutes late. The staff didn't inform me of anything. (The shop informed us that we registered at 2:15.) Upon arrival, we waited for them to prepare the room for another 5 minutes. We changed our clothes around 2:21. The therapist came in and said that we could only use the room until 3:30. We thought that the time would be cut by 5 minutes, and they offered us the option of purchasing a new course. At that time, we weren't really keen on buying it and didn't have time to decide what to do next (we were already on the treatment bed). So, they said we could use it until 3:30 (about 5 minutes of massage time would be lost). Throughout the treatment, we felt that they were very rushed. I'm not sure if this is the same standard as before, but there was no explanation or information given during the massage, skincare application, or even when wiping our face with warm water. (Normally at the Emporium branch, the therapist always informs you beforehand about which mask is being used, what skincare is being applied, and whether the temperature is suitable.) The massage finished at 3:25, and we were like, "Wow, they're rushing us out." When we came down from the room, we asked at the counter why they didn't inform us beforehand that the time would be cut, so we could decide at the counter. We were told that the therapist had informed us, but we were already on the treatment bed and didn't have time to decide. I asked why the appointments were so frequent. Our session was 75 minutes, but the next one was 90 minutes apart. Normally, changing clothes and going back takes almost 10 minutes. When we inquired, the next customer arrived at 3:40 (10 minutes late). The manager called the therapist over, and she used a rude tone, raising her voice and saying, "We already informed you." We said yes, we did inform them, and we weren't arguing. We were just asking if it's advisable to inform clients before they arrive so they can make informed decisions, as clients aren't aware of the schedule beforehand or if it should be specified during booking that arriving late will result in a time deduction, which is understandable.
